We are pleased to present our 2012Q4.0 release. The main features of this release are:

• New GeoDistance field and assorted geocoding accuracy improvements
• Custom field and alias support
• Added return of country fields even when record is unable to be parsed

General Suggestions and Tips

For the best results, install the 2012Q4.0 release as soon as your application development cycle allows. The 2012Q4.0 release makes improvements in both throughput of the verification process but also in the quality of the results.

Please remember to update both the program files and the reference data. The improvements in the Loqate Engine are tied to the data in the Global Knowledge Repository and the combination works better. If a reason exists in your application that both cannot be updated, please contact Loqate Support prior to upgrading so we can help you.

API Updates

• New GeoDistance field, giving the radius of accuracy of a geocode (https://support.loqate.com/geocode-fields/)
• Added UseCustomLexicons, CustomField, and CustomFieldConfidence options to allow specification of custom fields and aliases (contact Support for further information)
• Added CasingIgnoreFields and TransliterationIgnoreFields to allow overriding of which fields should be cased and/or transliterated
• Added transliteration for Jordan
• Fixed issue with MaxResults option not limiting result count in certain circumstances
• Fixed issue with SuppressAddressFields option not working with DeliveryAddress fields
• Added return of country fields even when a record is unable to be parsed

Country Updates

We are continually improving our country data and rules/lexicons to support them. The table below shows which countries have been enhanced, and how, in this release.

Summary of improvement changes:

• Reference Data = 249 countries
• Lexicons = 16 countries
• Context Rules = 4 countries
• Address Format = 3 countries
